Instructions

Jobs in the J-PAL/IPA Common Application are divided into four job categories: Research, Training, Policy, and Finance/Admin.

You can apply to one category at a time. Within a category, you can select the job(s) you want to apply to. You’ll become eligible for consideration of other jobs of that type. Our network of affiliates and hiring managers will be able to view your application and contact you for other positions.

After submitting your application to a job category, you may submit an application to a different job category. The information entered into the first will automatically feed into subsequent applications. The background experience and skills required for each category are often different, please refer to individual job descriptions for qualification details.

Some jobs have additional application steps listed in the job description and/or may restrict candidates from applying if certain requirements aren’t met, such as required work authorizations or language skills. For more information on the Application Process and Frequently Asked Questions, please visit our the Application Process page on our website.

Because of the decentralized nature of hiring, applicants are typically contacted only if they've been short-listed for a position. Your application will stay active for six months following your last login. Due to the number of applications received, there are many terrific candidates who unfortunately are not offered positions. We thank you for your interest in working with us and for your time applying. Feel free to follow J-PAL and/or IPA on Facebook, Twitter, or through our newsletters.

Best,

J-PAL & IPA Recruiting Team
